Reports To: Vice President
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days per week in office)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our growing entertainment public relations team at AGENDA. This is a coordinator-level role ideal for a candidate with a minimum of two years of public relations experience who is passionate about film, television, awards campaigns, festivals, and entertainment industry communications. The Associate serves as an active and engaged member of multiple account teams, supporting publicity campaigns from strategy through execution. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, sound judgment, and a genuine interest in media relations and storytelling. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating across teams, and is eager to contribute to high-profile campaigns and client initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
-Support publicity campaigns across film, television, streaming, awards, festival launches, and corporate entertainment clients.
-Build and maintain relationships with media, industry contacts, and key stakeholders.
-Monitor and track media coverage, compile coverage reports, and identify meaningful campaign highlights and opportunities.
-Draft media materials including press releases, media alerts, pitches, briefing documents, biographies, and status reports.
-Assist with media outreach and pitching efforts across print, digital, broadcast, podcast, and trade outlets.
-Coordinate logistics across press screenings, talent appearances, interviews, junkets, premieres, press days, festivals, awards events, and other publicity initiatives.
-Support event execution, including on-site staffing and press management.
-Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to campaign strategy.
-Manage administrative and organizational responsibilities across accounts, including maintaining press lists, tracking timelines, updating databases, and coordinating schedules.
-Prepare client materials, agendas, meeting recaps, and reports.
-Assist in day-to-day client communications and help ensure projects are completed accurately and on deadline.
-Stay informed on industry trends, entertainment news, media developments, and awards-season activity.
Qualifications
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations, entertainment publicity, communications, media relations, or a related field preferably at an agency, studio or distributor.
-Existing familiarity with entertainment, trade, and consumer media landscapes.
-Experience supporting film, television, streaming, festival, or awards campaigns.
-Passion for entertainment, storytelling, popular culture, and awards season. Please do not apply if this isn't the case.
-Experience supporting multiple clients and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
-Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
-Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva and media monitoring/reporting tools.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends in support of events, screenings, premieres, festivals, and awards-related activities.
