Senior Executive Producer, ABC News Live

ABC News is seeking a Senior Executive Producer, ABC News Live reporting to the President of ABC News.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will manage the programming, creative direction, and design of ABC News Live, Disney's 24/7 streaming news channel. The Sr EP will oversee coverage during breaking news and live events, as well as original programs and specials. S/he will be responsible for the overall quality of the content, and ensure it positions ABC News competitively to reach new streaming audiences with straightforward journalism.
Reporting to the President, the candidate will also take strategic direction from the SVP & GM of News and Live Programming. The Sr EP will work closely with DTCI to execute a distribution plan that optimizes against specific growth targets. In addition, s/he will work closely with all ABC News show teams.
The candidate is a creative visionary who understands audience consumption behaviors across all age groups. S/he knows how to build a brand and is excited by the organizational complexities in trying something new. The Sr EP will help recruit talented producers/showrunners and lead a fast-growing editorial team across all dayparts.

Collaboration and exceptional leadership skills are required. The Sr EP must have the ability to meet and adapt to changing industry demands; be flexible and able to balance multiple projects/priorities. This is a dynamic person who is passionate and excited about the future of news and media and wants to take a major role in leading and shaping it.

Basic Qualifications:

• 15 years' production experience working across live programming and taped originals
• Leadership experience in breaking news environments and/or newsgathering
• Executive-level presentation and communication skills
• Expertise in translating analytics to action for editorial groups
• A team-first, no-drama working style, with a focus on results

Required Education

• BA or BS from a four year accredited college or university
