THE ROLE: Archive Services Representative (Temporary)
The Archive Services Representative plays an important role in preserving, managing, and delivering A+E's media assets in support of production, distribution, and archival operations. This position helps ensure digital and physical content is accurately cataloged, accessible, and available throughout its lifecycle, supporting the ongoing value of A+E's extensive content library. Working within Content Services & Operations, the Archive Services Representative collaborates with cross-functional teams to support media asset management, metadata governance, and content fulfillment workflows. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in media operations, content preservation, and the media supply chain within a dynamic and evolving industry.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Digital Media Asset Operations
• Support digital asset fulfillment workflows across internal production, post-production, and distribution teams.
• Manage and prioritize asset delivery requests while balancing operational deadlines and transfer capacity.
• Monitor media supply chain activities and assist in troubleshooting content delivery and transfer issues.
• Ensure timely and accurate movement of digital assets to internal and external partners.
• Contribute to workflow improvements that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
Media Asset Governance & Metadata Management
• Support creation, maintenance, and quality control of media asset records within enterprise asset management systems.
• Perform metadata reviews and corrections to ensure consistency, accuracy, and discoverability.
• Assist with content restriction management and asset rights alignment.
• Validate and reconcile records generated through automated and manual workflows.
• Help maintain governance standards that support archive integrity and long-term content accessibility.
Archive Asset Management
• Coordinate intake, review, and archival of long-form graphics and audio elements.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of delivered media packages against production requirements.
• Create and maintain associated database records and archival documentation.
• Assist with inventory audits and content reconciliation activities to ensure archive readiness.
• Support preservation efforts that protect and extend the value of A+E's content assets.
Physical Media Operations
• Assist with retrieval, tracking, and organization of physical media assets.
• Coordinate shipments to and from external vendors supporting digitization and preservation initiatives.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Support archive storage and media handling best practices.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Airtable, or similar database and data-management applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong time-management skills, reliability, and commitment to operational excellence.
• Ability to support onsite archive and media operations in Stamford and Danbury, Connecticut.
• Interest in media asset management, archives, content operations, or digital distribution.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Media Studies, Library & Information Science, Communications, Archival Studies, or a related field.
• Experience working with Media Asset Management (MAM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), or content library systems.
• Familiarity with media supply chain workflows, digital file delivery, or broadcast/media operations.
• Understanding of metadata standards, content cataloging, or archival best practices.
• Experience supporting digitization, preservation, or content distribution initiatives.
Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Global Media on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third-party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.
Salary/Benefits
$32.00 /hour USD
Compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience.
