Description
The Senior Business Analyst is the key liaison between executive sponsors and project teams with the purpose to drive requirement elicitation to an agreed solution all within the project scope and budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong business and technical aptitude and know how to proactively facilitate both requirement and design discussions to completion and serve as the subject expert for project team members. The Senior Business Analyst is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the business is satisfied with new software releases at the feature/functionality level.
Job Functions:
• Translating complex business problems into business requirements and functional solutions with agreement across multiple stakeholders with divergent interests
• Providing the right level of documentation for the audience, methodology and overall objectives and know the differences (i.e. User stories, UML, Power point, etc.)
• Facilitating communication of requirements with key development resources to aide in application design (front and back end) solutions
• Following established business analysis documentation practices (user stories, behavior driven design (BDD), functional specifications, etc.)
• Continuously expanding understanding of technology solutions to provide current, relevant advice to the business or product owner
• Managing multiple work streams, assessing priorities and delivering complete, accurate work products
• Proactively resolving time conflict issues working with direct management and project manager(s)
• Building positive relationships with business clients in a multi-stakeholder global project structure through efficient and effective communication
• Ensuring that software meets project objectives and customer expectations
• Providing estimates to project manager for analyst deliverables and meet deadlines
• Continuously expanding knowledge of business processes and company IT systems
• Agile Projects:
• Documenting user stories using Gherkin syntax and acceptance criteria
• Documenting functional solutions in the format of a BDD or ability to learn quickly on the job how to write them
• Providing business and system knowledge to team members for better understanding of business needs, story selection, etc.
• Assisting Product owner with backlog grooming and other key tasks

• Music metadata, repertoire management, and/or music distribution systems
• Analysis related tools (i.e. Visio, EA, JIRA)
• Version control systems (i.e. Github, Subversion, etc.) a plus
• Software integration
• Use case modelling
• Business Process diagramming
Experience:
• 5 years of experience in IT Business Analysis
• 2 years of project, product management or lead experience a plus
• Experience working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Entertainment or media industry experience is a major plus
Education:
• Degree level qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related discipline
