Bravado works closely with new and established clients to create innovative products and marketing plans carefully tailored to each artist or brand. Clients include over a hundred music brands such as Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Run MC, Prince, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga and Guns N’ Roses. Bravado’s roster also includes an expanding list of non-music brands such as Harley Davidson, Paddington Bear and the Big3.
Bravado is currently looking for a Licensing Manager. This person’s responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for acquiring new licensees and managing existing partners
• Manage day-to-day business including all aspects of category management including financial forecasting, requesting licensee POS updates, retail placement and monitoring product development
• Liaise with internal Bravado functions: sales, marketing, creative, production, finance and legal
• Attend new business pitches and licensee meetings managing follow-up and key action items
• Monitor licensees product development with Creative & Marketing strategies to ensure alignment with core apparel categories
• Work closely with Product Managers to streamline licensee creative requests and approvals process
• Maintain and update sales forecasts at the licensee and artist level
• Research trends and conduct market analysis to identify prospective licensees and prepare category strategies with new business recommendations
• Manage day-to-day licensing inquiries and review proposals in conjunction with Vice President, Licensing
• Create deal memos and maintain tracking system of contract financial and other related reporting/analysis tools
• Provide licensees with support materials on a regular basis including brand decks and presentations, samples, etc
• Work closely with Finance department to ensure proper royalty collection and payment
• Work with Business Affairs on IP registrations and police product piracy issues
Skills/Abilities:
• Candidate must have a high level of industry knowledge specifically licensing and negotiation experience, brand strategy and retail landscape
• Strong presentation skills and attention to detail
• A solid understanding of ROI, market and revenue development, with budget management skills
• Can function in a fast-paced environment and is a team player
• Must be proficient in MS office
Experience:
• 4 years of experience in licensing, brand management, business development and brand marketing
• Experience securing and managing licensing agreements in a variety of product categories
• An understanding of key manufacturers across apparel, accessories, footwear, eyewear, consumer electronics, toys & collectibles
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
