ABOUT THE ROLE
Salary range: $85k-110k
Location: El Segundo, CA/hybrid remote working
Due to continued expansion, ZOO Digital is currently seeking a Senior Dubbing Manager to manage our highly talented Dubbing team. The Dubbing team works closely with our highly talented network of dubbing actors and directors, perfectly pairing local language actors to original characters. The team works with industry-leading partner studios and vendors in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with plenty of opportunities for professional development.
The Senior Dubbing Manager will manage a team of Dubbing Managers and Dubbing Coordinators, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest quality, on time and to budget. This is a fast-paced role that involves a lot of creative problem solving, strong communication and leadership skills.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
Managing, coaching, mentoring, and developing staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
Overseeing multiple large-scale dubbing projects across a wide range of vendors, partners and languages.
Establishing dubbing schedules and managing deliveries to ensure successful global launches
Ensuring all systems are kept up to date and projects are followed through up until invoicing
Identifying and managing project risk through prioritization and troubleshooting, escalating any issues where necessary
Supporting and leading innovation initiatives that develop dubbing operational and cost efficiencies
Ensuring direct reports are meeting deadlines WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for experienced team Managers who thrive working on a multitude of projects, ensuring that all requirements and deadlines are met. The successful Senior Dubbing Manager will ideally have a background within dubbing, audio production, advertising, or localization, and must have an understanding of the recording process.
The Senior Dubbing Manager must be an excellent people manager who is used to handling conflicting priorities whilst managing, coaching, mentoring and developing staff. A commitment to continuous improvement is essential, as is innovative thinking around scalable solutions and operational workflows.
We would also like to hear from applicants with the following experience;
Managing a team in a similar environment.
Project Management
Experience in broadcasting, localization, or video film production
Knowledge of scripting or translation/adaptation and basic knowledge of audio recording desirable
Prior experience experience managing localisation workflows, preferably within dubbing although this is not essential
Highly analytical and able to get to the root cause of a problem helping them organize and prioritize their work and their designated responsibilities.
