Role Overview:
As the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) / Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in executing our financial goals to accomplish our vision and secure investors. This is an equity plus commission-only position until investor funding is secured to support staffing budgets. The position is remote.
We are a new music technology company, and this is a contracted position. Candidates must have reliable internet, video-call, and telephone services, as this is a remote role. We are currently developing our app and are focused on signing up users for our waitlist, establishing partnerships with music companies, and obtaining customers for our educational music industry course, which offers an introduction to our music tech platform.
We are looking for staff to work virtually to support the company's sales, marketing, and business development efforts. You should be able to build accounts and increase profits with our products and services. This is a commission-only position, so the ideal candidate must be driven. Opportunities for bonuses are available for superior performance. This position is open immediately.
Your responsibilities include initiating contact, following up, and securing interest in our products and services. Constant follow-ups, meetings, account management, and marketing are essential to ensure steady orders from potential clients and to establish new accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of our sales strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee the sales team, ensuring clear strategy, team motivation, training, lead management, performance monitoring, customer focus, sales forecasting, and compliance with ethical standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of talented sales representatives.
• Generate new leads through networking, cold calling, emailing, office visits, etc.
• Schedule meetings with key decision-makers.
• Manage and maintain client accounts.
• Maintain and update an account/lead database, sharing insights with the Company Executive Board.
• Provide feedback and recommendations on sales efforts based on direct customer experiences.
• Solicit independent businesses, major companies, and individuals for company sales, business development, and partnerships.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in sales.
• Expertise in leadership, team building, and management.
• Strong background in identifying target markets, defining sales objectives, and creating a roadmap for achieving targets.
• Experience in training and developing a sales team (starting as commission-only until investor funding is secured).
• Ability to develop relationships, identify opportunities, and manage a pipeline.
• Experience selling products such as music courses, services, or apps, negotiating endorsements, and developing music business partnerships.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong sales personality and techniques.
• Team player, results-oriented, and capable of coordination with the sales team and company executives.
• Tenacious, success-oriented self-starter with high energy.
• Strong telephone, email, and communication skills.
Role Description:
This is a contract, remote role for a Chief Sales Officer / Sales Manager at ZobeLab. You will oversee sales operations, manage teams, provide training, and ensure effective sales strategies are implemented daily.
