Search for Mgr of National Partnerships & Strategic Alliances jobs in Burbank-CA
Support client of agency on National Partnerships and Strategic Alliances on assigned film releases. Will manage and facilitate various aspects of promotions and partnerships. Works closely with the promotions team, providing background on target companies, insight on new promotional tactics and emerging partner opportunities. Pitches and manages smaller partners on non- tent pole films.
PITCHING
• Spearhead all major presentations, including, but not limited to, Licensing Show, Toy Fair, Roadshow, coordinating with the assigned teams to secure appropriate, approved materials.
• Research potential partners in order to better understand their business objectives and help determine what films are most appropriate to pitch.
• Identify new potential partners through research, industry events, product placement and competitive monitoring.
• Spearhead partner outreach and partner negotiation on 1 to 2 small films annually, working closely with supervisor, as assigned.
• Develop new partner relationships for Warner Bros. through cold calling, industry events, networking.
MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTION OF PARTNERSHIPS
• Handle execution of programs working closely with partners and internally to a) secure artwork/creative materials and trafficking to partners as needed b) develop and maintaining production schedules/timelines c) process all submissions and obtaining necessary approvals d) Facilitate SAG talent approvals and music clearances
• Work with publicity, on-line, field promotions teams, etc., on 1 to 2 select films per year to enhance overall marketing efforts and leverage any partnerships.
• Set, manage and maintain budget for 1 to 2 select films annually.
• Assist in the management of major partners on tentpole films, as directed by supervisor, to insure proper coverage during crucial periods of execution.
DEVELOPMENT OF RESOURCES AND INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE
• Collaborate with counterparts who manage International promotions on
• creative materials, pitch decks, partner write ups & concepts, to ensure a
• Worldwide promotional strategy perspective for assigned titles.
• Develop a broad knowledge of promotional tactics and emerging opportunities, (i.e. movie tickets, mobisodes, mobile technology etc.) and keep promotions team up-to-date on latest innovations.
• Develop an understanding of the retail environment and, working with RBD, identify and facilitate opportunities to leverage those retail relationships.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 4 - 6 years of marketing/promotions experience.
- Previous experience with developing new business opportunities.
- Previous experience with managing a client.
- Previous experience in interfacing with/or working within the motion picture industry.
- Previous experience in negotiating contracts or partnerships.
- BA/BS degree from accredited university
• Other Requirements
Occasional but limited Travel
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone.
Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to work closely with management and meet deadlines.
