Intern - Record Label

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

The label manager for Yoshitoshi Recordings is seeking an intern for immediate integration into our office.

The internship offered below is suitable for any required internship that is part of a bachelor degree course in business, management, marketing or media related fields.

ABOUT US:
Founded in 1994, Yoshitoshi Recordings was created by Grammy Award winning duo, Deep Dish. Yoshitoshi Recordings has been a staple in the electronic and dance music industry since its inception. Recently nominated for a Grammy in the Best Remix category, Yoshitoshi Recordings has long straddled the divide between mainstream appeal and the underground sound that has evolved over the last fifteen years.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Gain a full-circle insight into daily operations and climate at our independent record label. At any given time you could be involved in marketing and promotions, business development, research, sales, social media outreach, event organization and more.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Excellent verbal and written ability
• Strong computer skills (Mac OSX proficiency required) and a knowledge of Windows Office programs (Word, Excel)
• HTML/Dreamweaver knowledge (basic understanding)
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
• Excellent organizational skills
• Astute multi-tasking ability and time management skills
• Be enthusiastic, proactive and have good team spirit

This internship is non-paid. Applicant must have their own transportation, as our office will soon be located in Great Falls Village and will not be metro-accessible (25 minute drive from DC, 15 minute drive from Tyson’s, 10 minute drive from Reston Town Center). Typical hours are 10am – 6pm, but some flexibility is preferred as projects develop.

The duration of this internship is 3-4 months.
Start date is ASAP.
