ABOUT THE ROLE
As the YogaWorks Community Manager, you will lead the strategy, planning, execution, and ongoing optimization of YogaWork's social media and online presence and reputation management as well as play a key role in optimizing our organic web traffic. Copywriting skills come naturally to you, you find fun in building an active community, and you have a proven eye for thumb-stopping, share-worthy content and imagery.
A successful applicant will be able to easily speak in our brand voice, engage with current and prospective members with grace, and readily own the execution of social messaging supporting key initiatives including community building, organic traffic, membership growth, sales goals, and brand awareness. The Community Manager is a results-driven social media native who stays a step ahead of online community trends and obsesses over building a brand our members love. Key performance indicators for this role include organic traffic volume, brand reputation scores, social reach, and community engagement/churn.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategically drive and tactically execute our social media vision, including scheduling, posting, monitoring and management of our presence on all social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc)
Encourage and moderate posts from our audience, including driving conversation and amplifying relevant posts from our brand advocates
Collaborate with your fellow marketers and creative resources to develop engaging social content and messaging strategies that are on brand and meet our customer acquisition & retention goals.
Develop and execute a clear YouTube strategy that will effectively funnel the platform's wide reach to YogaWorks At Home
Facilitate and execute engaging Facebook Stories, Facebook Live events, Instagram Stories, Instagram Live events, IGTV content, brand collaborations, giveaways, and Instagram takeovers with influencers and teachers.
Manage and grow our social media influencers and teacher ambassadors to assist in achieving our business goals.
Field customer inquiries via social media channels with timely funneling of the request to the appropriate internal party to assist - or answer directly with excellent customer service skills
Oversee our online reputation by monitoring user views on sites like Yelp, Facebook, and Google
Keep all brand profiles and social media pages up-to-date by updating as needed according to business and/or industry changes including Yelp, Google My Business, Facebook, etc.
Manage and strengthen our SEO content strategy where possible to grow organic web traffic and/or achieve other business objectives.
Provide monthly reporting on all social activity, metrics, campaigns, programs, insights, and recommendations.
Engage with senior company management to represent performance, optimization & resource needs.
Remain immersed in the local studio community management and competitive landscape to determine the latest social content trends and what is relevant for the business.
Develop a deep understanding and ownership of brand voice.
Evaluate technology and service vendors as needed.
Attend events and workshops to document activities as needed.
Any other tasks required to help us meet our goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of professional social media experience.
Experience growing online communities and developing social media campaigns with a proven track record of strong engagement.
Thorough knowledge and expertise on Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Live, IGTV, Twitter, YouTube, etc
Strong knowledge of social platforms, best practices, emerging trends and technologies.
Excellent copywriter with the proven ability to be concise, yet impactful in brand voice.
Proactive go-getter who takes the initiative to get things done and constantly reflects on and optimizes his/her work.
Strong copywriting/copy editing skills.
Ability to interact effectively with various levels of management.
Experience with paid social media, especially Facebook business manager is a plus.
Experience with SEO and growing organic web traffic is a plus

SUPERVISION
This role does not directly supervise anyone at this time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
100% remote, work from home.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employee must be able to work hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week including nights and weekends, especially during peak activity periods.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for up to 4 hours at a time; use hands to finger, handle, reach or feel and talk or hear. The employee is sometimes required to bend, lift and occasionally carry items up to 20 pounds. This job often requires climbing staircases as elevators are not present at all locations.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Must be able to hear and speak effectively in English.
