Intern - Sales and Data Management

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

No prior experience needed!

We are seeking motivated Interns interested in learning about independent film sales and domestic and international distribution.

XYZ Films is one of the leading independent studios in Hollywood. We have produced and sold movies worldwide including BLACKBERRY, MANDY, THE RAID, VIVARIUM, THE INVITATION. Our goal is to provide you with the tools to understand sales contracts and distribution agreements on a granular level. Additionally, you will learn how XYZ uses information from old contracts to make present day sales decisions, how we market and sell various movie rights and methods of exploitation, and how we utilize this data to help our company become more precise, efficient and organized.

Duties:
• Become an expert at reading industry standard sales and distribution contracts, as well as which deal points are the most important to negotiate.
• Learn how to manage data and glean relevant information from our company database Rightsline
• Fact check information with the various departments, and thus gain an overview of the many moving pieces at XYZ.

Internship Start Date/Season: July - September. Ideally you'll be able to start July 1st or 2nd.
Internship Duration: 12 weeks
Time/Days Required: 2-3 days/ week. 16-24h/week
Workplace Requirements: In-office at least 2 days a week.
