Warehouse Specialist

Position Overview: A Warehouse Specialist is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the smooth flow of operations within a warehouse, ensuring the efficient handling and storage of goods. This includes tasks like receiving, inspecting, and documenting shipments, managing inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for shipment. They also play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
• Receiving and Inspecting Incoming Shipments:
• Unloading, verifying, and documenting incoming shipments, including checking against purchase orders and packing slips, and reporting any damages or discrepancies.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies to ensure stock accuracy.
• Order Fulfillment:
• Picking, packing, and preparing outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Warehouse Organization:
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment, including housekeeping tasks and proper storage practices.
• Equipment Operation:
• Safely operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.

Communication and Coordination:
• Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and logistics, to ensure efficient order fulfillment and communication.
• Process Improvement:
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance warehouse productivity and efficiency.
• Training and Supervision (If applicable):
• May be responsible for training new warehouse staff and providing guidance and supervision.
