Full Time Job
The Vice President, Business Development and Commercial Operations Europe will be located at our International office in Munich, Germany. This role will be a senior key member of the WWE International leadership team with a primary goal to guide WWE's commercial growth in Europe. The Vice President will develop country specific strategies and tactics to ensure the revenue growth of this region. In this function the Vice President will develop and optimize business models across all lines of business including CMD, Live Events, CPG, WWE Network, Sponsoring, and on all digital platforms containing WWE content. The role is hands-on and requires consistent delivery against measurable KPI's metrics and is co-responsible with the regional General Manager for growing the company's revenue and achieving set budget targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop growth strategies and new business models for WWE in the region
• Identify new regions and countries for growth across all LOB's
• Plans should be built upon an in-depth review of the general socio-economic landscape and structured analysis of WWE's performance, challenges, and opportunities within each core business unit (CMD, DTC, Digital, Live Events, Consumer Products, and Sponsoring, etc.).
• Monetization of digital platforms and acquiring sponsorships directly or with an agency
• Monitoring and tracking agreed business and budget targets
• Responsible for spotting, articulating and together with the GM / functional heads driving and exploring new broad business initiatives for the region
• Explore and assess potential new partnerships and business models to maximize monetization
• Building ''predictive awareness'' using insights to see the future and trends
• Determine market segments and regions which are worth pursuing and moving into
• Establish and maintain high level relationships with key internal and external partners
• Manage communication flow in-between local office, GM and LOB heads at HQ
• Strategic input to Marketing & Brand strategies in key markets
• Prepare internal weekly reports and monthly updates against agreed short and mid terms targets and KPI's
• Use and conduct research analysis with internal and external research resources prepare directions of business
• Cultivate exceptional business relationships with key decision making business partners
• Forge partnerships with various departments within WWE especially all LOB's and cross functional digital, strategy and marketing department.
• Share best practices strategies and business development projects with HQ and other local offices
Qualifications:
• 10 to 15 years of consulting and or strategic management experience within Europe with a global TV/entertainment, media, or sports organization(s), and/or related agency experience
• Solid knowledge of cross platform; digital and social media
• Track record to achieve measurable business targets
• Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation), interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills as well as a firm understanding of the cultural differences in the region
• Able to juggle, prioritize and drive collaboration across competing initiatives in multiple markets
• Proven ability to execute large volumes of diverse work across multiple LOB's
• Solid industry network contacts; well versed in recognizing and knowing consumer/brand/media trends
• Prepared to travel regularly and extensively to key markets and manage
• English, German or any additional language is an asset
• MBA preferred
