Producer, WWE Documentaries
WWE is seeking an accomplished & creative producer to write, direct and edit for our Documentary unit. This individual is a self-efficient, solution-oriented, motivated producer capable of handling premium long form storytelling under tight guidelines as a member of the WWE Documentary team.
Responsibilities:
• Produces documentaries & episodic series from concept to completion for projects across A & E, Peacock, as well as other platforms, TV networks & streaming services
• Field produce & conduct interviews, behind the scenes access with talent and subjects
• Ability to edit as a Preditor on documentary projects that
• Responsible for writing outlines, scripts & story
• Works independently while leading junior producers to support documentaries
• Accepts feedback from upper management on shooting, story and editing
• Create unique concepts while working within appropriate budget
• Provide feedback to junior producers to develop their skills as storytellers
• Actively maximizes cross-platform potential of network documentaries
• Be willing to travel and work weekends on occasion.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of related work experience in feature / documentary production
• Experience identifying, developing, producing and directing documentaries
• Editing experience on features & documentaries with applications such as Avid, Final Cut Pro and Adobe with a strong emphasis on Avid editing
• Experience with high end camera crews as well as field production, managing a video/film shoot and producing/directing on-air talent
• Experience interviewing subjects in the field
• Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking, effective storytelling, action and results
• Experience in shooting with professional and consumer cameras a plus
• Examples / video reel of previous documentaries, feature work that has been produced / directed by the candidate
• Strong knowledge of digital and social platforms and advancements
• Capable of handling, organizing & producing multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-based, ever-changing environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work with in a team and assist on documentaries that are not their own project required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge about current and past WWE TV shows, products, talent and storylines a plus but not mandatory
• BA in Communications, Film/Media, Digital Media or related field of study
