WWE has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our Business and Legal Affairs team and work closely with our Senior Vice President – Talent & Assistant Deputy General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Compose, draft, and edit (red-line) letters and agreements- typically talent based contracts such as booking contracts, announcer agreements and other similar talent based arrangements as well as contracts with various vendors and medical providers that provide support to the talent;
• Manage and administer the executed talent contracts within various company based filing systems including maintaining contract database systems regarding talent contracts and actual physical files;
• Work independently in reviewing and finalizing Third-Party Agreements – e.g., appearance agreements;
• Provide administrative support including: maintenance of calendar, copying, filing, faxing, travel planning, expense reports and phone coverage;
• Provide support to a team of three immigration and global mobility managers and offer a team-centric approach to assist the team and the larger department as needed;
• Coordinate with various internal departments (Talent relations, Finance, TV, A/R, Live Events, Digital, etc.)
• Act as the point of contact for other departments for copies of agreements and information regarding the status of contracts
• Create and generate reports
• Coordinate and attend internal and external meetings and conference calls
• Keep current with WWE TV programs, characters, storylines, and products
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management and department needs
Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience as a Paralegal/Legal Administrator in a corporate legal department or law firm
• Previous law firm and/or corporate entertainment experience
• Bachelor degree preferred
• Strong PC/Word Processing skills including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Able to prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines
• Able to work independently and take ownership of certain aspects of the talent contract process;
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communications skills (including spelling and grammar)
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written (including spelling and grammar)
• High level of professionalism/confidentiality and ability to deal courteously and professionally with internal and external clients of all levels
• Paralegal certificate a plus
• Willing and able to work overtime as required based on business need
• Team player
