DESCRIPTION:

The Electrical Infrastructure Supervisor is a lead member of our building operations team, providing essential building maintenance and repair services for our new state-of-art Headquarters. A candidate must have technical electrical systems expertise and experience with operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and systems in a mission-critical environment. Knowledge, skills, and experience in data center power, cooling, and fire protection systems are also required.
Candidates must have a strong work ethic, analytical skills with results orientation, and excellent problem-solving skills in a highly energetic and fast-paced environment.
Working conditions:
The normal work environment is an office setting; however, this position will be expected to frequently interface with mechanics and/or engineers in the media production environment. The manufacturing areas may be outdoors (cold temperature extremes) or indoors (high temperature extremes). This environment also requires the use of PPE such as hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, and protective shoes. Certain areas in the manufacturing buildings also require hair nets, beard/mustache covers, and Tyvek clothing. Certain areas restrict the use of unapproved electronic devices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monthly Electrical operating parameter, maintenance, capacity, and efficiency reporting and review expectations
• Monitor operations, plan and supervise preventative maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and life/safety systems for the facility
• Analyze, monitor, and document critical system efficiencies and implement required modifications
• Monitor, record, and report on server cabinet power usage
• Assist IT team with power/plug management in datacenter and IDF's
• Supervise and/or perform generator building pull the plug and monthly load tests
• Maintenance of the equipment
• Documenting work activities in computer systems and entering work orders as needed
• Maintain and update critical document library
• Monitor the quality of maintenance work performed by outside service providers
• Safely operate the facility systems in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements
• Assist facility management team with response to emergency situations
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Provide routine reporting
• This job requires flexibility to work any shift and/or on weekends
Qualifications:
• 5+ years' experience as a facility engineer, preferably in computer room/data center environments, or similar experience
• E2 License
• Knowledge of and experience with critical building electrical systems, mechanical systems, fire alarm and suppression systems, building control and monitoring systems, and security equipment
• Experience in building controls, electrical & UPS systems. Ability to quickly learn such systems, utilizing operations manuals, blueprints, and similar documentation
• Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques, and operations desired
• Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair
• Experience with BMS, Smart Building, and CMMS software systems a plus
• Good proficiency with productivity software, such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Good communication skills
