Full Time Job
This position is part of WWE CPG/DTC Planning department which leads sales, margin, and inventory planning for WWEShop.com, WWE Euroshop.com, Amazon and other marketplaces. The Merchandising Financial Planning & Analysis Director will be responsible for overseeing the merchandise financial planning process, which includes developing annual and monthly merchandise inventory, sales and margin targets by category and providing weekly forecast updates based on actual data. He/She should have experience in planning all merchandise related elements, including sales, receipts, markdowns, markups, inventory, and turn. He/she needs strong Microsoft Excel skills, presentation skills and merchandise inventory planning experience planning and managing a category or total business. Responsibilities will include working with product team on pricing/margin strategies and insight on categories to further develop or discontinue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partner with Product Team to develop margin and inventory targets on categories/products
• Perform quarterly Category/Product analysis to inform future buying strategy – present to Product Team/CPG Executive Team
• Oversee/Create sales, margin and inventory planning that supports department's financial goals.
• Create markdown plans that reconcile merchandising strategies with the CPG financial goals.
• Deliver weekly Sales/Margin updates that provide concise metrics regarding business performance, thereby facilitating timely decision-making.
• Assist in development of monthly marketing calendar.
• Provide analytical insights through ad hoc analysis and special projects.
• Oversee members of Planning team and work to refine tools and processes and improve the overall effectiveness of the organization.
• Work with Accounting department on month-end close
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required;
• 5-7 years of work experience, including inventory management and/or retail planning and forecasting experience.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including ability to formulate business strategy.
• Exceptional written, listening, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to create and deliver presentations with clarity and impact.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt work style/processes in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work with a large amount of detail without losing sight of the big picture.
