This is a Full Time Job
The Director of Consumer Insights develops, executes, manages, and analyzes all consumer research efforts across the entire company, providing proactive qualitative and quantitative insights and recommendations relating to business and marketing goals and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversees and manages all relationships with existing research vendors including Nielsen, MRI, Scarborough and Vision Critical; keeps abreast of key industry metrics and provides recommendations for additional/alternative vendor support
* Serves as key resource for proactive, continuous and thoughtful analysis of all vendor data, both generally and in connection with specific business metrics and industry trends
* Ensures adequate training among department staff on all vendor tools and programs to provide continuity in expertise and reporting
* Oversee primary/custom research studies, including strategic approach, survey development, analysis and vendor selection, for a variety of businesses (e.g. marketing, programming, digital/social media, consumer products, international, live events).
* Acts as primary liaison to the research department of WWE's priority partners with emphasis on existing television network partners: USA, SyFy and ION
* Oversee compilation and distribution of weekly national and metered market ratings information, along with monthly and quarterly reports illustrating demographic and psychographic makeup of television audience
* Spearheads the development of brand/sales presentations that can be used for all external promotional/sales efforts, and updates the document on a regularly-scheduled, ongoing basis
* Educates WWE on threats and opportunities to its collective business and that of specific departments

Identifies and exploits opportunities to introduce relevant research and/or research tools to WWE with emphasis on purchase behavior, consumption, fan demographics and psychographics, and pay-per-view information
* Develops new internal education programs
* Takes a proactive role managing and directing weekly internal and external update reports/newsletters
* Proactively support WWE's Marketing, Sales, Partnership Marketing, Content Distribution, Consumer Products, Digital, Finance and Investor Relations, Live Events, and Corporate Communications on sales efforts, business development efforts and/or communication strategies
* Supports Finance and Investor Relations as needed for quarterly and annual earnings releases
* Works with Corporate Communications on statements for press releases and company highlight statements
* Supplies local market ratings data and affiliate changes to Live Events department
* Keeps current with WWE programs, characters, storylines, products, and overall pop-culture trends
Requirements:
* 10-15 years media research experience with cable network, broadcast network, syndication provider, rep firm or media agency
* Fluent with Nielsen Galaxy (Explorer & Navigator), NPower, and MRI
* Statistics experience required
* Experience with primary research required
* Outstanding critical analysis skills
* Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Proven track record of managing and developing highly effective research team
* Able to work effectively with all levels of management within and outside the company
* Proactive strategic thinking
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Bachelor degree required; advanced degree preferable
