Full Time Job
The Director, Advertising Analytics is responsible for supporting internal team members through qualitative and quantitative analytics, specifically with respect to WWE's advertising sales and sponsorship business. This role will inform business decisions and empower stakeholders with data-driven insights and analyses, WWE internal and external research, data visualizations and interactive dashboards, and business applications of data science and advanced analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with various Global Sales & Partnerships business groups, including Sales, Planning, Partnership Marketing, Campaign & Account Management, Strategy & Advertising Operations, as well as partners in Finance, Product and Technology to understand business needs and develop recommendations to drive business outcomes through data and insights
• Perform ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses to drive practical insights for business teams
• Evaluate vendor capabilities and offerings to improve insights toolkit for advertising business; Manage relationships and drive adoption of new and existing analytic tools and vendors, driving business value
• Collaborate with Data Technology to manage requirements, collection, validation, and modeling of data from various sources in WWE's enterprise data platform to meet reporting and analysis needs
• Partner with other Insights & Analytics team members to produce collaborative multi-functional insights
• Deliver individual projects and tasks in an accurate and timely manner, while managing priorities across various Advertising Analytics projects; manage support from and mentor junior team members
Essential Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in quantitative subject area (e.g. business administration, marketing, economics, statistics, computer science, engineering, etc.)
• Minimum 5+ years' work experience in Research, Analytics and/or Data Science roles (preferably within sports / media / entertainment industries, or with media agency or ad technology companies)
• Solid grasp of fundamentals of advertising & sponsorship including some or all of the following: sponsorship and digital/social media ad sales (pre-sale & post-sale), ad monetization of content on owned and 3rd party platforms, ad operations & ad serving technology
• Able to synthesize and communicate qualitative and quantitative insights through data visualization & storytelling
• Strong Excel (or Sheets) skills including complex functions and data visualization
• Experience analyzing and interpreting data from some or all of the following platforms: Syndicated/3rd party research (e.g. comScore, Nielsen, IPSOS, MRI, YouGov); digital & social media (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, SocialBakers, ListenFirst, Conviva Social, Relo Metrics); web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics); ad serving (e.g. Google Ads Manager); order management & CRM (e.g. Boostr, Operative, Salesforce)
• Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing highly dimensional data from varying sources
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and work independently, manage and develop other team members, outstanding analytical ability, and sound business judgment
Preferred Experience:
• Proficiency with SQL and/or other data programming languages (e.g. Python, R)
• Experience with Business Intelligence & Dashboarding tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Cognos, Alteryx, etc.)
