Full Time Job
Duties:
• Work independently to process historic WWE records, objects, and papers
• Create inventories and detailed finding aids and encode finding aids with WWE metadata schemas
• Assist in the planning and creation of exhibitions, publications, and other programs to broaden the use of WWE archive collections
• Identify sensitive materials for review
• Research the historical context of unprocessed collections
• Organize and rehouse collections in the appropriate archival containers
• Assist with receiving and properly logging new accessions
• Manage loans of archival assets and materials
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education Required:
• Master's degree in library and information studies from an ALA-accredited program; or, Master's degree in history or a related discipline and formal coursework in archival administration.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Extensive knowledge of WWE product past and present
• Hands-on archival processing experience
• Understanding of archival best practices; techniques including appraisal, accessioning, arrangement, and description
• Familiarity with content management systems used to describe archival records and papers
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address ambiguous or complex issues
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lift and move 40 lb. containers
