Search for Advanced Systems Engineer jobs in Stamford-CT
The Advanced Systems Engineer will have involvement in all aspects post production engineering including system design and architecture, set up, operation, and maintenance of a wide variety of Post Production equipment. This is a senior level position that requires both excellent technical skills and communication skills.
We are seeking highly motivated, adaptable, team players that thrive under pressure and business changes and are prepared to do what it takes to get the job done.
This position requires being available to work off hours including overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide overall technical leadership for all Post Production systems including identifying and specifying new
technology, workflows, and other system changes
• Be a key member of the engineering team that supports the day to day production of WWE content
• Design and implement new systems and workflows that support the day to day creation of WWE content
• Maintain and repair of all Post Production Engineering Equipment
• Document workflows and technical procedures
• Maintain technical records of systems, software and infrastructure
• Daily data management tasks and monitoring of production systems
• Train and mentor other engineers and technicians
• Communicate with third party suppliers and keep up to date on new products
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in a Post Production or Broadcast facility
• Expert level knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Interplay, ISIS Storage, Maya, Cinema 4D, Qube, Adobe After
Effects, Quantum StorNext, and other post production technology
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, JAMF, and Microsoft SCCM
• Ability to distill complex technical solutions for non-technical end users
• Understanding of transcode technology and digital workflows
• Enthusiastic about troubleshooting, learning new technologies, and figuring out how things work
• Excellent technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to analyze complex electronic problems and make recommendations for swift corrective action
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently, yet strong collaboration skills are required
• Must be able to prioritize and be a pro-active thinker
• Willing to work flexible hours (we support a 365, 24/7 business)
• Knowledge of digital video encoding systems, archive systems
