Women’s Wear Daily, a division of Penske Media Corp.is looking for a Senior Visual Media Editor to work with our New York office team. In this fast-paced creative environment, the Senior Visual Media Editor will produce unique and compelling
photography and visual components for WWD’s editorial team.
The position will report to the Visual Media Director and work on a mix of digital and print products - WWD Digital Daily and Beauty Inc. weekly newsletter, as well as Beauty Inc. Magazine.
This position has the potential to build creative experience for the right candidate if desired, including illustration, collage, photography, video, and more
• Produce and coordinate a wide range of photoshoots worldwide, including news and portraits assignments along with larger fashion and beauty editorials
• Build galleries, optimize imagery, and upload to wwd.com
Knowledge about copyright and rights issues pertaining to editorial digital usage
• Manage invoices and contracts for freelancers
• Archive commissioned photography into our DAM system
• Managing your time wisely and keeping the team up to date while juggling multiple projects at once
• 4 years experience in editorial photography production and editing, preferably with a fashion focus
Extensive knowledge of Adobe CC
• Great range and editorial judgment and enthusiasm for fashion photography
• Digital forward thinking
• Flexibility in schedule is a must, this position will have alternating schedules with another editor
• Strong attention to detail, quick learner, ability to take direction and feedback
with a positive attitude, and willingness to work as a team
• Knowledge of retouching, WordPress, photo mechanics, and/or interest in a photo collage and illustration a plus
