Spring Intern - Communication and Script

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

We are seeking a part-time remote intern to support our grassroots campaigns, social media, producer outreach and script analysis for our exclusive lists. This is a 2-month remote position with flexible hours, from the first week of May (start date asap) to the end of June.

Responsibilities:

Social Media
• Identify social media partners to cross-promote with
• Follow guidelines for social media posting on Instagram

Industry & Grassroots Outreach
• Research and edit our list of industry professionals, writing initiatives and universities
• Support Wscripted with grassroots campaign communication
• Assist with direct outreach to producers by email and newsletter communication

Script Analysis
• Support the reading committee by providing script commentary on projects nominated for our exclusive lists
• Improve and edit script summaries for nominated projects

What you will learn:
• How to orchestrate a grassroots and social communication campaign for film initiatives
• How to draft compelling emails and messaging to producers, development executives and grassroots partners
• The standards of script evaluation and how to understand script structure and narrative
• How to draft a concise script analysis - valuable for future opportunities at production companies, distributors or studios
• The tools for analyzing gender bias in stories. The internship includes a virtual training on script analysis and gender bias, as well as weekly calls to discuss screenplays.

About you:
• You have a bachelor's degree or are a current student in film, entertainment or communications
• You are independent, curious and organized with excellent communication skills
• You are passionate about screenwriting, and eager to learn about the film business
