WORDTheatre® is seeking social media / graphics interns who will work for 8-16 hours per week. We need interns with the technical skills to create graphics for our website and events and populate our social media output on our various handles. Candidates must be able to come into the Studio City office.
DESCRIPTION
The Social Media / Graphics Intern will help create campaigns to market WORDTheatre's upcoming events, including our 20th Anniversary Celebrations in Los Angeles, New York, and London. Additionally, interns will be engaging in graphic design, scheduling social media posts, editing various images and photographs, and overall help expand the outreach of WORDTheatre and its work in the community. The intern's writing and technical media skills will be utilized and improved under the supervision of experienced producers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Great organizational skills and a self-starter attitude required plus a familiarity with platforms such as Photoshop, Canva, Microsoft Suite, YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, Facebook, and iTunes. Strong writing skills and/or basic photo and video editing skills are appreciated. We encourage social media creativity and enthusiasm for updating the WordTheatre website.
-Graphics - Any graphic designs that you've created either for class or personal reasons.
-Social Media - A collection of social media posts that you feel best represent your style, voice, sense of humor, interests, and copywriting. This also may either be for class or personal reasons.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks will include:
Helping to populate our new website and working to enhance our web presence
Becoming involved with our online social networking (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Listening to selections from our audio library and watching both raw footage and edited clips.
Editing video and audio clips from our library
Sorting through footage and photographs to find most marketable segments/ images with guidance from staff
Editing video footage into clips suitable for general internet viewing and for promo reels with guidance from staff about how to represent the organization's image and how to effectively edit together multiple performances and interviews
Editing video of full performances to be archived
Uploading video and photos to our website and social networking sites
REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking a hardworking intern who loves editing great performances. Ideal candidates have experience with Premiere Pro and/or Pro-tools, Word, Excel, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Gmail, Mac's and be detail oriented. Curiosity and enthusiasm are essential.

Be fast learner and be able to adapt and work in a rapidly changing environment
Be organized, with great follow through
Audio/Video Editing Intern should be proficient in Protools and/or the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Premiere, Photoshop After Effects.
