Intern - Music Supervision

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

New Los Angeles-based music company is looking for a winter intern to help with office and music supervision duties. This is a chance to learn about the dynamic and highly competitive field of scoring and licensing music for film and TV, with a particular focus on the advertising sector. This is not just licensing existing pieces of music. There will be interaction with composers and sound designers, although they often work offsite.

The ideal candidate will be able to wear many hats, including handling administrative AND creative duties with equal skill and enthusiasm. We are looking for someone with an extensive understanding of musical styles and history who is also happy handle to spreadsheets, contracts, paperwork, etc. They must be organized, diligent, motivated, articulate, and on top of current musical trends and artists.

Musical ability, editing/engineering skills, or any previous licensing or post-production experience a bonus but not necessary.

POTENTIAL TASKS:
Organizing music library

Music searches

Taking notes in client meetings and conference calls

Editing music and video files

Coordinating with composers

Filing paperwork

Updating content on website

REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient with Macs and Microsoft Office

Available for at least 3 days a week

At least 18 years old and authorized to participate in an unpaid internship in the U.S.

Must love dogs!
