Associate Producer/Researcher - Wondery Royals Podcast

Wondery is hiring for an Associate Producer/Researcher for a new weekly narrative show that tells contemporary and historical stories about royals from around the globe. This role will work closely and collaboratively with writers, producers, story editors and hosts. We're looking for someone who can clearly and concisely collect and organize research to tell character-driven stories for a wide audience. You will report to the lead Wondery producer and work closely with the writers and story editors. This is a full-time, six month contract position with the possibility to extend. We're looking for someone to start ASAP.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Research and pitch stories about past and present royalty that fits the ''North Star'' principles for the show
-Create story assessments and research briefs for chosen pitches
-Support the story editors and writers with additional research as needed
-Address fact-check notes
-Draft public-facing episode summaries
-Assist with production as needed, including updating production schedules (using Airtable), liasing with other team members, syncing --files, pulling archival tape, media management, etc

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-2-3 years of relevant experience
-Excellent research skills with proven ability to pivot and problem solve
-Journalistic instinct for sourcing material
-Strong bias for action and ability to take ownership of work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Proven audio writing skills
-Audio production experience
-Experience researching and writing history for wide audiences
-Experience with Descript, ProTools or other audio editing software
