Junior Publicist
Job Description:
A top tier, bi-coastal entertainment public relations agency is looking for an exceptional individual to join its team. We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Junior Publicist who will work with Vice Presidents & Senior staff representing a high-profile roster of television series content accounts & talent clients. This person will play a key role in supporting team members and campaign publicity work across multiple scripted series.
They must be able multitask and manage time efficiently as they will work with and alongside agency teams. Ideal candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to keep up with a fast-paced industry, remain composed in high-pressure environments and maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Ideal candidates will be resourceful, innovative, able to multitask and thrive in a detail-oriented, fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities:
• Monitor and service online and print publications daily for client coverage and relevant news.
• Draft memos and letters for client offers.
• Compile targeted press lists for pitching and outreach as well as maintaining company resources.
• Cover clients at press activities including phone interviews, panels, virtual junkets, and premieres.
• Maintain client materials including digital press kits, biographies, and more.
• Draft additional publicity materials such as pitches, press releases, media alerts, tune ins, etc.
• Create, manage, and coordinate both client and content team schedules and confirmations for interviews, photo shoots, press days and press tours.
• Coordinate client needs including travel and logistics as well as hair, makeup, and styling for publicity activities.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years of publicity/communications-related entertainment experience in an agency, studio, network, brand, or similar organization.
• A strong interest in the entertainment industry and business of publicity.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to manage time effectively in a highly fast paced environment.
• Should be motivated, resourceful, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented thinker who can multitask, meet deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously.
Please note: All candidates must live in the New York area and be able to work in the office.
Salary/Benefits
$68,460.00
per year
