Position Overview:
WME is seeking a talented and highly motivated legal assistant to join its Business Affairs department in Nashville, supporting the Head of Music Business Affairs. Primary responsibilities include contract reviews, scheduling, and facilitation of the day-to-day operations of the department. This is a high-volume practice supporting a large group of agents who operate within tight time frames.
Essential Responsibilities:
Directly support and assist the Head of Music Business Affairs at WME (including phones, scheduling, expenses, administrative duties, etc.)
Coordinate and schedule meetings with company executives and other team members, anticipating changes in availability and making alternative plans in advance.
Answer phones with professionalism and ability to screen call information for efficient handling.
Review contracts.
Track current and upcoming projects.
Conduct research on various digital related topics
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Ideal Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to interact with a range of personalities and styles in a fast-paced business environment. This includes explaining complex concepts to clients and colleagues without legal knowledge.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in all instances, especially when interacting with clients.
Proven ability to be exposed to confidential information and to handle with the utmost integrity and discretion.
Knowledge of or strong interest in the entertainment industry.
Capable of effective planning and prioritizing.
Must be detail-oriented and able to handle complex instructions with care and follow-through.
Must be exceptionally organized, logical, and data driven.
