The Role
The Social Account Manager (LA) is a Social Media & Digital Channel Management expert with proven experience in delivering first class social media campaigns within music. The position is charged with managing a small team of Digital Channel Managers, working with the Director of Social to drive and develop our key accounts and new business opportunities while also maintaining a roster of clients of their own. The overall focus is on executing best in class social media campaigns for WMA's clients, which will include artists, labels, brands and other entertainment businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Social Account Manager responsibilities will revolve around 5 key areas:
Management and development of members within your designated team:
Regular check-ins with your team, maintaining their role development plans.
Senior oversight on team member's client projects.
Key Account Management of clients within your team:
Oversight of new client onboardings.
Regular check-ins with client points of contact.
Sope monitoring, reviewing hours, timelines, and ensuring your team is delivering on what is covered in their scope.
Identification of areas to develop clients into other parts of the business.
Department development:
Internal collaboration with social team & HODs to discuss processes and share knowledge.
Sessions with the Director of US social to inform the direction of the department globally.
Business development:
Support the Director of US social on priority new client pitches, joining on priority new business calls.
Social client management of your own roster:
Create and execute exciting and innovative social strategies for clients whilst ensuring content and channel output is optimized.
Drive digital innovation to position artists, brands and WMA as industry leaders.
Liaison with contacts at key social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
SKILLSET
A deep knowledge of and passion for social media and trends within music and entertainment.
Excellent relationship building skills - get to know clients including artists and management in a friendly but professional way.
Excellent communication skills - verbal & written.
Excellent people skills - confident & proactive.
Team player - cross-departmental teamwork required
Can take on and solve problems in an effective, positive, calm manner
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Highly creative with the ability to recognize and research new opportunities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in social media and/or digital channel management within the music industry.
Experience of delivering insight-driven social media campaigns.
Experience reviewing and analyzing data to provide insight and deliver strategies.
WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING WITH?
Reporting into the Director of US Social
Close collaboration with other Account Managers within the social team
Management of a team of Channel Managers
Direct communication with clients within your team to discuss briefs, campaigns, timings and budgets
