Creative Manager / US Lead - WMA Studios
The Role
WMA is looking for a brilliant, passionate, experienced and ambitious client-facing Creative Manager to join a fast paced, exciting creative studio, within an award winning, full service global digital creative and marketing agency. We're looking for a driven, motivated and passionate individual with proven experience delivering creative, for a range of clients and sectors in the music, entertainment and lifestyle space. A candidate who can oversee the entire creative process from conception to completion. Key to the role is an individual who can work under pressure, multi-task and come up with ideas to bring artist and brand creative & content to life. Oversee the development of innovative and impactful creative solutions, and ensure the successful execution of projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of the creative process, collaborating with internal teams, working directly with artists, management, major label and brand clients. Continuing to grow a creative network - to be able to pair the right creative and production talent to deliver to a client brief. This candidate should be a self-starter who is resourceful, creatively minded and is able to handle any size project with a brilliant positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a creative lead for WMA Studios on the US side.
- Building client relationships and being super proactive (proactive reach outs / coffees/ face to face meetings / networking).
- Managing and converting referrals from other departments e.g. Social /PR/Marketing clients looking for press shots / live sessions / social content capture / music videos / etc.
- Nurturing and growing existing client relationships. Converting music projects to lead to more
project work and retainers.
- Budget management - pulling together budgets / managing internal budgets. Focused on managing margins.
- Nurturing and growing our US creative network and producer network. Pulling in the right creatives and team to deliver on a client project.
- Convert new business opportunities as they come in from our internal teams and clients.
- Own every project and maximise every opportunity.
- Ensure our clients get an optimal creative experience, every time.
- Oversee a variety of projects.
- Manage client communications, expectations and deadlines from project inception to final sign off.
- Design budgets to maximize margin and opportunity.
- Brief creative teams clearly and efficiently.
- Schedule productions efficiently and clearly so clients and internal teams can work to clear
timelines.
- Negotiate and build trusting relationships with suppliers.
- Expand our creative network.
- Drive our team and our clients towards innovation and seek collaboration with the industry's most innovative creators.
- Come up with and present ideas that stand out from the crowd and will deliver against brief objectives.
- Oversee the development of the ideas from concept to execution.
- Lead on creative and project management across the teams to respond to client brief.
- Proactively pitching ideas to clients that push the boundaries to deliver exceptional shareable content to each client.
- Lead on artist content creation.
- Oversee the day-to-day planning and delivery of content.
- Collaborating with the wider team is key in this role.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Creatively led, confident and proactive
- Confident at leading projects from start to finish as well as pulling in assistance when needed
- Experience of producing still and motion shoots
- Knowledge of design, editing, social content capture, photography and film, post and delivery
- Adept at negotiating with suppliers and agreeing preferential rates
- Able to manage a number of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent account management skills
- Highly organised with rigorous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enthusiastic and meticulous with all jobs, big or small
- Excellent budgeting and cost management skills
- Passion for music, entertainment & lifestyle brands
- Strong team player with excellent people skills
- The ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign)
- Proficient in Keynote, Pages, G-Suite etc
