Located in Queens, NY, just minutes from central Manhattan, Wildflower Studios offers a self-contained creative campus with eleven studio suites that can be combined, each featuring independent parking and access, spacious stages, and dedicated support spaces for seamless work throughout the production process.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Logistics Manager located in Queens, NY at Wildflower Studios. The Logistics Manager will assist the Head Facilities Engineer and Director of Operations in coordinating all client production load-ins, load-outs, and deliveries. The Logistics Manager will provide exceptional customer service to clientele, ensuring smooth access to the facility for productions and events. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations of commercial facility ramps, loading docks, and the loading/unloading of production-related materials. The incumbent will enforce strict access control and schedule deliveries to the loading dock, ensuring the protection and security of assets, personnel, customers, and visitors. This position is based at the loading dock entrance, monitoring all movement in and out of the premises.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support Operations: Assist Facilities, Security, and Operations teams with loading dock and delivery situations.
• Coordinate Logistics: Oversee the scheduling and efficient sequencing of all high-volume production load-ins and load-outs belonging to multiple clients and vendors.
• Route Internal Traffic: Efficiently and safely manage all vehicle activity, prevent traffic bottlenecks, provide directional guidance to all personnel, and operate large vehicle turntable in the loading dock.
• Maintain Dock Area: Ensure the dock area is clean and uncluttered, and prevent personal vehicles from parking in the loading dock area.
• Improve Workflow: Collaborate with management and operations staff to enhance the flow of activity and products through the dock.
• Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to all relevant work safety rules, policies, and regulations.
• Report Incidents: Immediately report any accidents, near misses, or security related concerns in the loading dock area to management.
• Prioritize Tasks: Manage multiple and competing tasks based on business needs.
• Operate Equipment: Use forklifts and other moving equipment as required.
• Meet Deadlines: Complete work within established deadlines.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum 10+ years experience working within Film and TV production.
• Forklift and heavy moving equipment experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. comfortably.
• Familiarity with security cameras and alarm systems.
