We are looking for dependable and skilled Stage Hands & Lighting Designers (LDs) to join our production crew. This role involves hands-on work with staging, lighting, and sound equipment to ensure smooth setups, striking visuals, and high-quality experiences for performers and audiences.
Responsibilities
Stage Hand Duties
• Load and unload trucks with staging and production equipment.
• Assist with setup and teardown of trusses, video walls, and staging structures.
• Handle, run, and pack down sound equipment
• Work efficiently during tight load-in/load-out windows (typically ~4 hours for setup and ~4 hours for teardown).
• Maintain safe practices when handling heavy or technical equipment.
Lighting Designer Duties
• Program and operate lighting systems for rehearsals and live shows.
• Create lighting looks that enhance the performance atmosphere.
• Work with Onyx, ShowXpress, or similar lighting software (or use own console if preferred).
• Troubleshoot technical issues during shows and rehearsals.
• Coordinate with other crew members and event directors to meet production goals.
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in live production, stage crew, or lighting design.
• Working knowledge of truss systems, moving head lights, and video walls.
• Familiarity with lighting software (Onyx, ShowXpress, or equivalent).
• Understanding of live sound basics and cabling (XLR, DMX).
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and work on feet for extended periods.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible availability - evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules.
Salary/Benefits
$20.00
per hour
