Ancillary Manager - White River Amphitheatre

THE JOB
The Ancillary Manager oversees all ancillary operations and sales initiatives at the venue, ensuring a seamless and profitable guest experience. This role manages product offerings such as lawn chair rentals, Fast Lane, VIP Clubs, parking upgrades, and other guest amenities. The Ancillary Manager is responsible for driving revenue, maintaining brand standards, leading the ancillary crew, and ensuring smooth execution from setup to closeout each event day. The job begins in March with training, and the concert season will conclude in October. This is a seasonal, hourly position.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Lead all ancillary sales programs to maximize per-cap spending and meet revenue goals. Actively monitor sales performance during events and adjust strategies as needed. Accurately reconcile sales and inventory following each event and maintain proper documentation.
• Oversee setup, operation, and breakdown of all ancillary areas (e.g., lawn chair rentals, Fast Lane, signage, general store). Manage inventory, ensuring accurate counts, organization, and timely restocking of products.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise Ancillary Crew Members. Provide ongoing coaching to improve sales techniques and guest interaction. Lead pre-show meetings to review goals, assignments, and best practices.
• Maintain a visible presence during events to monitor guest flow and service quality. Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience. Ensure all ancillary touchpoints are clean, welcoming, and efficiently operated.
• Provide post-event reporting on sales, staffing, and operational highlights. Track trends and identify opportunities for process improvements or new offerings. Communicate regularly with regional and corporate teams to align goals and share best practices.
• This is a fast-paced, outdoor venue environment requiring extended hours on event days. The Ancillary Manager is expected to lead by example, maintain professionalism, and always uphold a guest-first mentality.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
REQUIRED:
• Strong leadership and communication skills with experience managing staff
• Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and optimize sales strategies
• Proven ability to drive sales and meet or exceed revenue goals
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and managing financial reconciliations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience in live entertainment, hospitality, or event operations preferred
• Proactive, hands-on leader with a focus on results and guest satisfaction
• Skilled multitasker who thrives under pressure
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Team-oriented mindset with a passion for live events
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, outdoors, in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 25+ pounds
