Fall/Winter Intern - Creative Development

This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship

Company Summary:

Wavelets Entertainment, Inc. is a script development company funded by China's Alibaba and Hong Kong's Media Asia. Wavelets sources and develops web series dramas and feature films for the streaming market.

Internship Summary:

Wavelets is seeking individuals from various colleges with creative backgrounds to join the team starting September 2022 and ending December 2022, or any time in between.

Responsibilities:

• Receive training on industrial knowledge
• Read scripts, novels, comics etc. and write coverages
• Conduct creative research for the company's potential projects
• Translate materials from English to Chinese and from Chinese to English
• Take meeting notes
• Assist in general company operations (not applicable during Covid-19 restrictions)

This internship will take place remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Able to commit at least 20 hours per week
• Able to receive school credits for your internship
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Proficient in both Chinese and English (able to read, write and speak)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education in screenwriting or media preferred
• Previous experience at a production company or writers' room (development)
• Experience in writing scripts or script coverages for television projects
• Fast reader and typer: Able to read 30 pages/hour and type 70 WPM
