Job Purpose: Responsible for assisting the Accounting Department in their efforts to accomplish the Company's goals and objectives by providing accounting and financial support. This includes detailed analysis and presentation of financial data, preparation and recording of various journal entries, preparation of monthly account reconciliations and other similar activities.
Duties:
• Actively participates in month-end close processes, booking journal entries and providing appropriate detail level review and analysis.
• Reconciles all bank accounts for the company, parent companies and subsidiaries to ensure that all recorded transactions and activity correspond with actual bank cash flow.
• Record all transfers and automatic withdrawals for all bank accounts into accounting software (NetSuite).
• Prepares and maintains weekly cash flow spreadsheets for senior management meetings.
• Maintains and prepares spreadsheet schedules which include, Accrued Expenses, Deferred Revenue, Revenue Detail, Prepaid Rent, Prepaid Expenses, Monthly Corporate Card Accrual, and Interest Receivable/Notes Receivable, used for Financial Statement compilation.
• Coordinating with department controllers for month end items along with bank activity.
• Assists with year-end financial and other audits as required.
• Ensures accurate and timely reporting of financial results, and undertakes other special projects as requested.
• Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting /Finance.
• 2+ years accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, demonstrating comprehensive accounting and technical skills.
• Ability to manage and analyze financial data.
• Well developed communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Well developed analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; specifically advanced features of Excel.
