This is a Part Time Paid Internship
The Marketing intern will be positive, upbeat, and committed to promoting the Washington Wizards in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. This summer position will support the Washington Wizards Marketing Department with a focus on tentpole initiatives and projects including NBA Draft, Draft Party, Summer League and Schedule release.

Responsibilities:
• Assist across all marketing verticals, including branded content, youth basketball initiatives, strategic and integrated marketing, social and digital campaigns, retail marketing, and fan development.
• Assist with integrated marketing initiatives, regarding planning for the upcoming season and driving high-impact off-season events.
• Play a key role in planning and delivering marquee events such as Draft Party and outdoor court refurbishment unveilings.
• Assist with event logistics, on-site coordination, vendor management, and post-event recaps.
• Maintain up-to-date recap presentations for completed, ongoing, and upcoming events.
• Assist with project tracking, timelines, and results to ensure seamless execution.
• Support arena transformation initiatives and other special projects led by the SVP and CMO.
• Support promotional activations, community outreach efforts, and distribution of promotional items, championing the Wizards brand.
• Serve as a brand ambassador at team and community functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Previous marketing/promotional/event/street team experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with guests and fans in an energetic, enthusiastic, and friendly manner.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion when working with confidential information.
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds unassisted.
