Paid Intern - Wizards Social Media

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

The Social Media Intern will support and learn from the Digital Team of the Washington Wizards (NBA).

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the ideation, planning, and creation of engaging social media content (including TikTok, Reels, short form video, etc).
• Collaborate with the Digital Media Team to implement ''social first'' content ideas and strategy.
• Monitor social media trends to identify new content opportunities.
• Coordinate with team members on daily social media responsibilities including drafting and scheduling social posts across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
• Collect real-time photo/video content at games and community events.
• Help to maintain the organization of the content calendar and digital assets for distribution among all Digital team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate.
• Experience in social media publishing for a team, brand, or company.
• Previous experience with photography is preferred.
• In-depth experience with Premiere Pro, Photoshop, & Lightroom is a plus.
• Experience in shooting/editing video content for social media.
• Deep understanding and awareness of TikTok & Reels style of editing and curation.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to balance and prioritize several projects at once.
• Knowledgeable about NBA Players and teams.
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in-person during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay Rate: $17.95 USD/hour
