Position Overview: The Manager, Group Sales position is responsible for generating maximum revenue through the sale of full season, partial season, and group sales for the Washington Wizards.
Responsibilities:
• Sell Washington Wizards group tickets and ticket plans to businesses and individual consumers via aggressive telemarketing, face-to-face presentations, and all social channels.
• Create new sales opportunities using hardworking tactics.
• Develop prospects by calling on self-generated leads and provided lists.
• Handle in-bound sales calls from prospective customers.
• Establish professional relationships to build repeat business.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales goals.
• Set up and maintain up-to-date records on existing customers and prospects in team database.
• Work home games for the purpose of developing new prospects, servicing customers, and performing other miscellaneous game night duties.
• Work events that you have sold tickets for and to meet your clients and/or be available if any problems arise.
• Attend B2B networking events.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of ticket sales experience with a pro or college sports team is preferred.
• Extraordinary work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism, and a real passion for sales.
• Competitive nature and positive attitude.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; Must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, appointments and sales.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and produce results, while being self-motivated.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
