The Washington Wizards are seeking a highly motivated and organized Youth Basketball Coordinator to join our growing Marketing team. This position will collaborate with departments across the Wizards front office to support the activation and administrative duties of youth basketball programs, brand initiatives, as well as event and grassroots projects aimed at reaching and connecting with new and existing fans.

Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of the continued development of a robust youth basketball platform; with a focus on skill development, fan development, and revenue generation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with top basketball facilities, basketball leagues, programs, and community organizations/agencies throughout the greater DMV.
• Support the building and activation of youth programs and Jr. NBA events including scheduling of gyms, staffing coaches, enrollment monitoring, equipment load in and load out, etc.
• Evaluate and work to define the Wizards youth basketball development goals while building and implementing a training curriculum that reflects a pathway to accomplish those goals.
• Build and update all data reports, program schedules and timelines as needed.
• Efficiently respond to parent and customer inquiries.
• Coordinate, organize, and stock inventory of gear, equipment, giveaways, and any additional program items.
• Support the development of all grassroots basketball programming from conceptualization to activation.
• Develop detailed recaps for youth basketball initiatives aimed at providing a snapshot of the team's efforts, impact and key insights from the activation(s).
• Responsible for the general well-being of all youth basketball participants.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2 years experience working with and leading youth basketball.
• Effective communication skills and motivational skills.
• Deep knowledge of the game of basketball.
• Previous experience building lesson plans and develop age and skill level appropriate curriculum.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Dependable, detail oriented and professional.
• Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and work independently with limited supervision.
• Valid drivers license, and ability to drive company vehicle.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Range: $50k USD
