This is a Part Time Job
The part-time Washington Wizards Strategic Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations for the Wizards Marketing department during the 2024-25 season.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with start of season needs for 2024-25 Washington Wizards season.
• Focus on assisting fan development initiatives, promotions, grassroots marketing efforts, events, and community programs.
• Provide first-class customer service and value for our fans.
• Assist in planning and implementing experiential event activations during the season and off-season.
• Build PowerPoint presentations for business meetings and create monthly executive report.
• Support the coordination and execution of grassroots events in the Washington, D.C. Metro area.
• Support marketing activations and execution at Wizards home games and special events.
• Attend various meetings, such as team meeting, project meetings, and community partner meetings to take comprehensive and accurate notes.
• Assist in driving fan engagement and driving revenue through existing programs and developing new ones.
• Support with the execution of NBA League-wide social responsibility programs including Hoops for Troops, Vote Night, MLK game, BHM, Hispanic Heritage, and more.
• Assist with fan development groups such as youth, kids club, and women's initiatives.
• Engage and brainstorm with game day planning, including giveaway items, theme nights, fan activations, and pre and post-game events.
• Build marketing plans for various grassroots marketing initiatives.
• Stay current on industry trends, standard processes, and innovations in sports marketing to contribute fresh ideas and perspective.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree or in the process of earning a degree or equivalent experience.
• Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable.
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, able to balance multiple vendors, agencies and other groups at once.
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility working in a dynamic environment.
• Ambitious nature and positive demeanor.
• Flexibility to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Rate: $17.50-20 USD/hour.
