Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Suite Sales & Service, the Manager, Suite Sales is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the execution of suite sales and retention programs through assigned duties to achieve optimum sales volume and ensure the desired sales results while performing the following duties. The primary focus of this position is to sell multi-year, suite license partnerships in a new business and nightly capacity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Secure multi-year, annual Suite License Partnerships
• Coordinate and execute sales calls on any and all potential customers through cold calls, prospecting and referrals from current customers
• Attain individual and department sales goals as set by the Senior Manager, Suite Sales & Service and Vice President, Corporate Partnerships
• Attain individual and departmental sales goals set by management
• Conduct personalized sales presentations as required to support the Suite License sales process
• Utilize Microsoft CRM system to manage accounts, pipelines, activity, and productivity measurements
• Host and visit current and prospective clients during home games
• Compiles weekly sales reports, call reports and updates on appointments
• Identify opportunities to up-sell current clients
• Attend networking events as necessary for prospecting and retention of accounts
• Develop positive customer relations calling on all assigned accounts on a scheduled basis
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Maintain organized computerized records of all current and prospective clients in company database (Salesforce)
• Submit prompt accurate reports and maintain up-to-date accurate account records
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• A minimum of four (4) years work experience in professional selling environment
• B2B sales experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to speak clearly and present sales materials in front of top executives, clients and large groups
• Ability to network with the region's top decision makers
• Ability to learn and master new software programs including Tickets.com and Microsoft Dynamics
• Ability to complete basic contract invoices, templates and outlines
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maneuver around the ballpark while visiting clients and showcasing seating options to prospective clients during home games
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed: including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Understanding the need for data integrity and attentiveness to maintaining accurate and timely data
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize all Microsoft Office products
• Professional image and demeanor
• Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment
• Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
• The ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels

Preferred:
• Knowledge of MLB policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Tickets.com Pro Venue
• A minimum of four (4) years work experience specifically in professional sports premium seat or suite sales
Physical/Environmental Requirements
• Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work will require in-season weekend and evening work.
• Gameday: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
The projected wage rate for this position is $23.77 - $36.06 per hour. This position is also eligible for commission based on sales. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant's: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
