2023 Photo Editor (Part-Time)
Summary:
Reporting to the Team Photographer, the Part-Time Game Day Photo Editor will serve as a valuable member of the photography team to help shape the visual storytelling of the Washington Nationals’ ballpark experience. The position will act as a live photo editor on home game days. This person will be the primary editor, but there may be opportunities to photograph games.
The Nationals are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Edit and tag top images from the live feed of content during games for immediate social and requested use.
• Photograph games, community events, and other special team events as needed.
• Collaborate with Team Photographer to fulfill photo requests from Corporate Sponsorship, Ticket Sales, website/social media needs, etc.
• Upload to the team’s online photo archiving system (Photoshelter) as well as Greenfly for team access.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Photography graduate course work or a minimum of 3 years of experience preferred
• Action-oriented, organization first and ability to multi-task
• Trust builder with discretion of the highest order
• Strong artistic vision and creative abilities
• Strong working knowledge of digital and still camera equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and Photo Mechanic
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience and
• At least 2 years’ experience working in Stadium/Arena location.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and prepare written reports.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment

Physical/Environmental Requirements
• Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Position may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
• Gameday: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
