SUMMARY:
The Manager of Community Relations reports to the Vice President Community Engagement and is responsible for managing all efforts related to the organization's community relations mission by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directly responsible for managing all efforts related to the organization's youth baseball outreach including:
• Uniform Program – responsible for purchasing merchandise; inventory management; merchandise distribution to all youth leagues; develop and execute plans for ongoing program expansion
• Champions Day Series – plan, manage and execute
• Clinics – plan, manage and execute a variety of clinics; oversee interns in clinic execution
• Manage annual equipment drive
• Legacy Fields – assist in implementation of field renovation program
• Work in concert with the Executive Director to develop new programming and new areas of youth baseball support
• Serve as the department's primary point of contact for various youth baseball organizations
• Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships to implement youth baseball efforts with current and future sponsors.
• Facilitates the team's in-kind donations, supervises interns work on fulfillment, compiles end-of-year report
• Works with Senior Manager to hire and train interns;
• Supports the Vice President Community Engagement with civic partnerships and activations;
• Supports Senior Manager, Senior Director and Vice President in execution of other community programming (military outreach, K-12 education, MLB initiatives);
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Community Engagement and/or Executive Director of Community Relations.

REQUIRED:
Must meet the following minimum requirements:
• At least three years of related experience in community programming and/or corporate philanthropy
• Minimum of a four-year Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Sports Management or other closely related field
• Knowledge of community programs, organizations and methods involved in developing community relations programs
• High character; ability to exercise discretion with confidential matters
• Strong presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organizational skills
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, with particular expertise in Excel and database management
PREFERRED
• Working knowledge of sports business and Major League Baseball
• Previous experience with youth baseball organizations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training interns; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees' addressing complaints and resolving issues.

• The position will require walking throughout the facility, as well as standing for extended periods of time.
• The employee must have a flexible schedule that allows for the possibility of working a combination of days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
