Intern, Venue Experience (2022)
Summary:
The Washington Nationals are currently seeking a Venue Experience Intern for the 2022 season. The Nationals are actively searching for individuals who have a passion for serving others and are committed to excellence. Our mission is to create exceptional and memorable experiences for our guests. As a team member, you will gain life experiences that extend far beyond serving a great product, you will also develop your customer service and leadership skills as well as be a positive influence on the guests. The intern's primary responsibilities will be assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Venue Experience department. This internship program will provide the student with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in guest experience and ballpark operations with a professional baseball organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the execution of the TEAM Service Rewards and Recognition Program
• Assist the Director with day to day events and projects
• Conduct assessments on the existing guest experience and identify ways to enhance it, then work with the Director on ways those changes can be implemented with limited disruption to the operation.
• Assist with the research and implementation of new technologies that enhance the guest experience.
• General clerical office duties, data entry and other duties as assigned
• Develop a working knowledge of Nationals Park
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions
• Must be able to work 80% of the game days at Nationals Park during the season
• Must have a high degree of professionalism
• Knowledge and understanding of baseball
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 lbs

Physical/Environmental Requirements
Game day Seasonal: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
Qualifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Communicate articulately and detail oriented.
• Have strong interpersonal skills and able to provide excellent customer service.
• Multi tasker with the ability to work on multiple projects at once.
• Ability to remain calm and positive under stressful situations and project a professional image at all times.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
Working Conditions:
• Lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs may be required
• Conditions are normal for an office environment and there may be occasional weekend and/or evening duties.
• Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue.
Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees.
