Summary:
The Washington Nationals Baseball Operations Department is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and service-oriented Executive Assistant to support the President of Baseball Operations and broader Baseball Operations leadership. This full-time role is central to the day-to-day functioning of the department, combining high-level executive support with office management responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Executive Support
• Provide direct administrative support to the President of Baseball Operations and other members of the senior Baseball Operations leadership group, including calendar management, travel coordination, and expense reporting.
• Prepare meeting materials and agendas with limited oversight, as needed. Anticipate needs in advance and attend meetings as requested, in a support/documentation role.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Be a consistent, dependable presence who brings energy and optimism to the office.
Office Management
• Manage day-to-day office operations including kitchen and supply management and workspace organization, and budgeting tasks related thereto.
• Serve as a central resource for staff support, working cross-functionally to address internal requests and ensure they're directed to the appropriate departments.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for Baseball Operations staff, interns, and consultants, ensuring a welcoming and respectful environment for all.
Meeting and Event Coordination
• Coordinate and schedule interviews for Baseball Operations candidates, including managing calendar invites, hospitality arrangements, and logistical support.
• Organize and manage the execution and budgeting of team-building events such as department events and seasonal gatherings, contributing to a culture of connection and shared purpose.
• Manage and execute logistics relating to planning for major baseball events such as Spring Training, Trade Deadline, Amateur Draft, Winter Meetings, and other organizational meetings.
Administrative Operations
• Proactively identify ways to improve workflows, solve problems, and support the team – adding value without regular direction or oversight.
• Maintain and organize confidential files, documents, and databases.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned, with humility and a service-first approach.
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years prior experience as an executive assistant to C-level executives.
• Experience working in baseball or professional sports is preferred, but not required. Experience in other private or public sector jobs (e.g. politics, government, management consulting, banking, technology, and/or startups) with fast-paced environments requiring strong organizational and communication skills is also helpful.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Slack and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal awareness and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to exercise excellent judgement and discretion in a variety of situations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
• A humble and service-oriented mindset, with a willingness to take on any task and contribute meaningfully.

• Interest in baseball or sports operations is a plus.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
• Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, per the baseball calendar. Primarily office-based at Nationals Park; occasional site visits, offsite meetings and travel to Florida Spring Training facility required.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 25lbs. and work in varied environmental conditions as needed.
