Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Production & Broadcasting, the Digital Signage Designer & Traffic Manager will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating designs for the Nationals external facing digital advertising screens as well as trafficking the created content and managing the usage of the screens during games. The Digital Signage Designer & Traffic Manager will work closely with the Production, Marketing, Corporate Sponsorships, Ticket Sales & Services and Communications departments as well as external partners on the design and display of the digital advertisements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize and design all advertising content for external facing digital screens including game schedules, Nationals Park promotions or announcements, special events, corporate partnerships, etc.
• Responsible for accurate review of all content produced, adhering to branding and organizational standards.
• Responsible for trafficking all advertisements in proper specifications to the Nationals digital signage services partner.
• Conceptualize and design all game content for external facing digital screens, including statistical displays.
• Development of new and innovative ways to utilize the digital signage.
• Assist the Executive Director, Production & Broadcasting in any projects outside of essential duties as needed.
• Work with upper management and other department staff as requested.
• Work with outside Branding and Production companies as requested.
• Other creative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
• At least 5 years of graphic design experience.
• Full mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other Creative Suite programs.
• NOTE: Portfolio is required

• Must be able to work the extended hours of game days and specials events as scheduled.

Preferred:
• Experience with Daktronics display systems, including Show Control and Venus systems.
• Experience with Editing, Motion Graphics & 3D software.
• Professional baseball and/or other professional sports production experience.
• Knowledge of the Nationals schedule, players, baseball statistics, rules and records.
• Knowledge of MLB policies and procedures.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
• Must be able to work at computer monitors for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to set-up and breakdown equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
• Will require weekend, evening and holiday work.
• Occasional domestic travel may be required.
