The Job
Video Producer, Playmaker – Bleacher Report
The Daily
• Creatively plan, direct, and produce branded field productions
• Closely collaborate with clients to ensure expectations and brand guidelines are understood and met
• Create all pre-production materials, including but not limited to, scripts, outlines, shot list, etc. to use as a guideline for internal and client expectations
• Collaborate with Creative Strategy, Integrated Strategy, and Sales teams in managing process, expectations, and challenges as they arise
• Ensure that B/R's voice and aesthetic is maintained in all branded video efforts
• Manage Talent on and off camera
• Represent Playmaker in all communication and interactions while in the field
• Provide paper cuts for editors after shoots and oversee the editing process with the editor through publish
• Work in high pressure, fast-paced production environment with quick turnarounds
• Give and receive critical feedback in a team environment
• Adapt quickly to changes in production plan/schedules
• Ensure schedule and deadlines are being met; report changes, raise necessary flags, and convey delays so issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner
• Work with internal teams to strategize and brainstorm based on proactive ideas and RFPs
The Essentials
• 3-5 years experience working in a fast-paced professional environment with client-facing production experience
• Experience and comfortable with directing celebrity/athlete talent and leading a production crew
• Passionate about storytelling and innovative thinking in a collaborative environment
• Working knowledge of all aspects of video production
• Comfortable working with modest budgets
• Self-starter who is assertive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent writing and visual storytelling skills
• Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and solve problems under pressure while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
• In-depth knowledge of current trends content consumption, especially on social media platforms Sports fan with strong understanding of Sports culture
