Runner - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Warner Bros. De Lane Lea (WBDLL) provides world-class talent and facilities for dailies and post-production, servicing feature films and high-end TV. Based in the heart of Soho, facilities include two 4K HDR Baselight X Grading Theatres, Flame Online suites, Digital Dailies facilities, Dark Fibre connectivity and a full Mastering and QC department.
The world-renowned Sound facilities include six networked Dubbing Theatres, in-house Sound Supervision and Editorial, ADR Facilities alongside a Café & fully licensed Bar and 56 Cutting Rooms. De Lane Lea also has additional facilities based at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden including a 50 seat 4K Screening Room, 4K VFX Review Theatre and In-Facility and On-Location Digital Dailies. The state-of-the-art facilities and award-winning talent allow De Lane Lea to shape content to extraordinary levels of detail and creativity, combined with an exceptional level of service.
The Job
This role requires a high standard of support to be provided to all members of staff and clients at WBDLL, ensuring a courteous and effective front of house service.
The Daily
• Act as the first point of contact on behalf of WBDLL for all clients and answer or redirect general queries.
• Update and complete all daily tasks as listed in the Runner Oracle.
• To run any errands requested such as delivering packages, buying food and drink outside WBDLL and keeping an accurate record and receipts of all amounts purchased and for whom.
• Cover Reception on breaks and lunch hours.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment at all times, ensuring, the reception, bar areas and studios are focal points, and all should be kept clean and presentable.
• Ensure all packages follow correct despatch procedures in a timely fashion.
• Produce any daily report sheets if required and produce a personal weekly timesheet.
• Liaise with operational, managerial and financial staff to ensure the seamless delivery of services.
• Prioritise tasks and keep information regarding their completion current.
• Share task updates with other runners.
• Run the bar in the evenings and being responsible for handling cash and company credit card transactions
• To help with office and equipment moves as required.
• Ad hoc duties as required.
The Essentials
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to create an immediate rapport with a range of clients.
• Ability to understand client needs and priorities by questioning in a diplomatic manner.
• Good general knowledge of production and post production techniques or have a background which would enable such knowledge to be developed rapidly.
• Numerate with good basic level maths, able to remain accurate under stress.
• To be sensitive to the differing needs of clients and staff.
• Capacity to remain calm and effective in difficult situations.
• Flexible and adaptable to approach to ensure clients' needs are met.
• Able to work within a variable shift pattern, which could include evenings and weekends
