The Job
The Product Manager, Experimentation at WarnerMedia, supporting HBO Max, will play an integral role in improving experimentation capabilities & the overall program to actively improve the customer experience.
The Product Manager will be the liaison between the Experimentation team and the Data Insights & Operations (DIO) team to collaborate on experimentation analysis capabilities and experimentation insights and analysis. In this role you will be focused on the technical details of SQL queries and be the translator between the Experimentation team and DIO for complex analysis and ensuring data integrity, quality, and scalability of data capabilities for experimentation execution & analysis. This role will report to the Director, Product Management, Experimentation
The Daily
• Collaborate with Data Insights Operations (DIO), Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to improve self-service analysis capabilities
• Collaborate with DIO to perform analysis to surface friction points within the HBO Max streaming experience to inform customer problem statements, learning objectives, and measurable hypotheses.
• Assist in experiment design and determine sample sizing to reach statistical significance.
• Assist in analyzing user behavioral data to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and create a common understanding of how people are interacting with the product.
• Assist with building a strategy to make experimentation analysis more efficient and scalable
• Partner with experimentation strategists, designers, engineers, other data analysts, and data scientists to improve the quality of experiment ideas and key learnings
The Essentials
• 3+ years of hands-on experience using data to inform experiment ideation, sample sizing, & results analysis.
• 3+ years of experience using SQL
• 3+ years of Python or other statistical programming language is a plus
• Deep understanding of statistical concepts like hypothesis testing, Bayesian decision-making, etc.
• Hands-on experience in advanced data analysis.
• Strong communication skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Have a demonstrated history of translating complex data sets into clear and actionable narratives and communicate opportunities and challenges to stakeholders.
• Experience and aptitude to deliver high-quality solutions on short timelines.
• Has a strategic, analytical, technical, and scientific mindset
• Comfortable and experienced with synthesizing information for consumption by an executive-level audience.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Optimizely Web & Full Stack, as well as Google Analytics, SQL, Amplitude and Snowflake.
• Strong communicator with the ability to moderate based on audience and demonstrate an ability to partner with a range of cross functional partners.
• Must be self-motivated and accountable.
• Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and the ability to react quickly, dynamically, and intelligently.
• Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and engage with technical teams on highly complex projects.
• Comfortable working in an environment that is ever-changing, with grey or uncertain areas; candidate must be able to create their own direction yet balance cross functional teams' needs.

• Great storytelling abilities – must be able to synthesize complex information into a well-formed narrative and deliver capably that narrative to various audiences.
