The Job:
Manages the day-to-day operations of all assigned WBTV shows from prep through delivery and wrap to ensure WBTV shows are delivered on time, on budget and meet all necessary technical requirements. Some tasks including but not limited to are the creation and review of post budgets and schedules, oversee vendors, hire and make deals for post production/editorial crews.
The Daily:
• Creates and Reviews Post budgets & schedules for all new and existing WBTV shows and seeks final approval from department head.
• Researches candidates and under the direction of the department head, hires and makes deals for all of the Post Production and editorial crews on WB projects.
• Manages the day-to-day operations of all WBTV assigned shows from prep through delivery and wrap to ensure WBTV shows are delivered on time, on budget and meet all necessary technical requirements.
• Oversees the Post Production facility/vendor support on each assigned project, including getting competitive bids and engaging companies services for each project.
• Serves as a Liaison between, creative executives and the editorial team on all assigned projects to ensure information/developments/notes on the cuts, schedules, deadlines, and budgets are addressed in a timely manner.
• Interacts with various departments at WB on various matters as they pertain to WBTV productions, namely: Marketing, Publicity, Research, Business Affairs, Music, Casting, Anti-Piracy and Domestic and International Distribution.
• Interacts with Studio Technical Operations Team to ensure all WTBV productions are being delivered and archived in accordance with studio policy.
• Reviews and approves time cards, purchase orders, invoices, EFC's, hot costs and final cost reports for all assigned WBTV projects.
• Reviews & approves credits on all assigned episodic/shows by show basis before titling sessions to ensure accuracy and correct billing is given for all above the line talent and crew.
• Oversees new TV standard (File Based/4K workflows) with all network representative and Post Production vendors.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.
The Essential:
Work Experience
4+ years experience in similar role or boots on the ground scripted series post production experience as Post Producer or Post Supervisor.
Education
, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
College graduate preferred
Knowledge/Skills
Highly Organized leader and team player who successfully operates ina team oriented setting.
Strong communication, judgment and people skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
In depth understanding of all areas of Post Production including : Online, Color Timing, Titling, ADR, Mixing, Scoring and Visual Effects.
Knowledge of Post Production unions and guilds.
Proficiency in the following technology/software: Mac and PC, Picture editing and finishing in both Final Cut Pro and Avid: Movie Magic budgeting and scheduling systems, QuickTime and FTP Programs and Software: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
